What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) injectable which, unlike hyaluronic acid, encourages the sub-dermal layers of the skin to physically replace lost collagen to improve skin texture, tighten and firm for up to 2 years.
Which areas can Sculptra treat?
Sculptra is versatile and can be used as a solution to firm and tighten skin in the Cheeks, Temples, Marionette and Smile lines. Typically after 20 years of age, you lose about 1% of collagen per year. Sculptra uses PLLA-SCA to encourage reproduction of collagen fibres.

What are the benefits of Sculptra compared to other HA?

During the treatment the Doctor will apply topical anaesthetic to skin to help, the treatment can be painful however no more than other HA or PLA injections.

How many Sculptra sessions are needed?
Sculptra is a PLLA injectable which is recommended in a course of 3 sessions, spaced 1 month apart. During this period the skin is rejuvenating and encouraging collagen growth which can last up to 2 years.

Is There Downtime from Sculptra?
Minor side effects are commonly experienced with anti-wrinkle injections. Some redness, swelling, itching and bruising can appear at the treatment site, which has usually subsided within 12 – 24 hours. This treatment has very little downtime but before you leave the clinic, your practitioner will ensure you have been given the relevant aftercare instructions.
