What are a Varicose and Thread Veins?
Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins. Varicose veins can happen anywhere in the body but are more common in the legs. Varicose veins are not considered a serious medical condition however they can be uncomfortable and can lead to more serious problems.
Using IPL and LASER we can target the branches which cause Varicose and Thread Veins on the surface of the skin, shutting off the flow safely and effectively. Treatment can be a little uncomfortable but the results are incredible.
Plasma Laser Treatment for Thread Veins
Plasma laser creates a small electrical arc that causes sublimation of the outer surface of the skin, this allows the skin to form a crust that falls down after 5-7 days leaving a new layer of skin. This can be used to treat stretch marks without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding skin.
Photo Rejuvenation for Thread Veins
Photo-Rejuvenation is a skin treatment that uses lasers, intense pulsed light, or photodynamic therapy to treat skin conditions such as rosacea and remove effects of photoaging such as wrinkles, spots, and textures. How does treatment with IPL and Plasma Laser Work?
IPL and LASER work using light waves to destroy the branches which cause Thread Veins and Varicose Veins. The wave length of the IPL and LASER system is set up to a specific frequency which only targets the colour of the veins, leaving the surrounding area and the skin unaffected. The heat generated from the light cauterises the vein to stop any further flow of blood. A few sessions is required to fully clear the affected area by targeting one vessel at a time.
